Does your church need its own app and domain?
When the free member app is enough, when your own branded app makes sense, and how to put your website on a domain you own.

Every church wants to be easy to find. For most people today, that means two places: the app on their phone and the website they search for.
You don't need a developer for either. Here's how to decide what your church needs.
Your ChurchEvents, giving, and sermonsGet
- Your name
- Your icon
- Your colors
App Store · Google Play
Start with the member app
The Culminate Life member app is free to download on the App Store and Google Play. Your people find your church in it, and everything you turn on shows up automatically: giving, check-in, groups, events, announcements, sermons, and prayer requests.
For many churches, that's all you need. There's nothing to publish and nothing to maintain.
When your own app makes sense
With white-label, your church gets its own app in the App Store and Google Play: your name, your icon, and your colors, running on Culminate Life.
It's worth considering when:
- Your name matters to your people. "Download the Your Church app" is easier to say from the front than "download this app, then find us."
- You run memberships, live streams, or podcasts and want them under your own brand.
- You want to look established to guests who search for you in the app store.
You manage it all in Organization → App & Web: your app's versions, its store listing, and your developer accounts. You'll get an alert when Apple or Google has new terms to accept, so updates don't stall.
Use your own domain
Your website is free with Community, and it comes with a free culminate.life address. When you're ready, connect a domain you own, like yourchurch.org, from the same App & Web page.
A domain of your own is easier to remember, easier to print on a banner, and looks more trustworthy in search results.
Connect the two
Your app and website work best when they point at each other. The website builder has an app download block that shows your app's screenshots in phone frames, so visitors know exactly what they're getting.
Forms, giving, and prayer requests on your website feed the same records as the app, so it doesn't matter which one people use.
Be easy to find in both places people look.
What to do next
- Turn on your website and pick its free address.
- Connect your own domain if you have one.
- Add the app download block to your home page.
- Talk to us about white-label when you're ready for your own app.
