How to live stream your church service to every screen

One stream to your app, your website, Apple TV, and other platforms, with captions and a health check that tells you what to fix.

Some of your people can't be in the room on Sunday. They're traveling, sick, caring for someone, or still deciding whether to walk through your doors. A live stream lets them be part of it anyway.

The hard part isn't going live. It's making sure the stream reaches people where they already are, keeps running when something goes wrong, and works for everyone who's watching.

Send one stream everywhere

Don't make people hunt for you. Send one stream to your app, your website, and the other streaming platforms your people already use, all at once.

With Culminate Life, you go live once and the stream goes to every destination you've set up. Your app and website show it to your own people, and other platforms help new people find you.

Make it easy to find

The best time to tell someone you're live is while you're live. Set up your gatherings, like your Sunday service, with the times you meet. While a gathering is on, the app shows a Happening now card with Watch Live and Take Notes buttons.

Nobody has to dig through menus or remember a link.

Bring it to the living room

Plenty of people would rather watch on the TV than on a phone. Culminate Life is on Apple TV, so your episodes, series, and live streams can play on the big screen.

  • Signing in is quick. Scan the QR code on the TV, or enter a code in the app.
  • Pick up where you left off. Start a sermon on your phone, finish it on the TV.
  • Follow along on your phone. While the TV plays, people can take notes, read comments, join the live chat, and pause or play the TV.

Your dashboard counts Apple TV as its own platform, so you can see how many people watch that way.

Add captions

Captions help people who are deaf or hard of hearing, people watching somewhere quiet, and people who follow along better by reading. Generate captions from the audio in a few minutes, or upload a .vtt or .srt file. They show wherever the video plays: the app, your website, and TV.

Captions aren't an extra. They're how some of your people take part.

Keep it running

Something always goes wrong eventually: the upload speed drops, an encoder setting gets changed, or one platform stops taking your stream. Know about it before your viewers do.

  • Check stream health. The studio shows what your encoder is sending, grades it from Healthy to Viewers affected, and tells you what to check first.
  • Restart one destination. If one platform stops working, restart just that one. Your stream keeps going everywhere else.
  • Let the app recover. In the member app, live streams recover on their own if the video stalls.

Make Sunday last all week

When the service ends, the video doesn't have to disappear. Keep your whole library in the app and on your website, and link each video to its podcast episode. Add a notes outline so people can fill in the blanks as they watch, and add the week's songs from Apple Music or Spotify so people can play them again on Tuesday.

Start with what you have

You don't need a broadcast studio. A camera, an encoder, and a decent internet connection will get you going. Then add captions, Apple TV, and more destinations as you're ready.
